Trouble adding a new watch face

watchOS 9 & 10

To enhance the stability of watch faces, we re-builded the watch face in version 1.1.1. As a result, users who had previously added watch faces may experience the disappearance of old watch faces. Please update PeakWatch to version 1.1.1 or above and select either ”HRV Emoji (for watchOS 9 & 10)” or ”HRV Number (for watchOS 9 & 10)” on the watch face to use it normally.

watchOS 8

Apple introduced a new tech stack for watch faces in watchOS 10, making the watch face components incompatible with watchOS 8 when made compatible with 10. Therefore, after upgrading to version 1.1.1, the app can be used normally on watchOS 8, but the watch faces cannot be used temporarily. We are working on finding a solution for compatibility and will make corresponding adjustments in the upcoming versions.

Before this, we recommend upgrading to watchOS 9 or 10, as Apple's official support for older systems will gradually decrease, leading to decreased stability on older systems.

Having Trouble Adding Watch Face?

Due to system compatibility issues with watchOS, you may encounter ”Complication is not available” when you add a watch face on specific watchOS versions.

To address this, you can use the following steps to manually add complications to your Apple Watch and make use of the complications feature:

  • Press and hold the watch face on your Apple Watch.
  • Tap on ”Edit” when it appears.
  • Swipe left until you reach the “Complications” section.
  • Tap on the desired location where you want to replace/add a complication. Select the corresponding PeakWatch complication.
