How to Add Widgets in StandBy Mode?

With the upgrade to iOS 17, widgets can now be used in StandBy mode.

Step 1

After upgrading to iOS 17, plug in your phone, turn off the screen, and rotate it to landscape mode, placing it on a phone stand.

Step 2

Once in StandBy mode, long-press the screen to unlock your phone.

Step 3

Tap the “+” sign in the top left corner of the screen and add the PeakWatch widget to the stack.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you can’t enter StandBy mode, make sure the iPhone is stationary in landscape mode and propped at an angle (not laid flat). StandBy mode needs to be activated in iOS Settings under ”StandBy Mode.”

If the widget doesn't display content, wait a bit for it to load or consider restarting your phone.

If you can’t find the PeakWatch app when trying to add the widget, restart your phone, open the PeakWatch app, and then try again. Due to communication delays between the Apple Watch and phone, coupled with the inherent refresh constraints of widgets, there might be a data lag ranging from a few minutes up to about half an hour.
