iCloud Sync Issues
To fully protect user privacy, data recorded in PeakWatch is not uploaded to our servers but is instead synced using iCloud.
Therefore, you need to enable iCloud sync to use and save the logging features in PeakWatch.
If you encounter iCloud sync issues, they may be due to the following reasons:
- iCloud Drive Not Enabled
- In iOS Settings - Profile - iCloud - Saved to iCloud - iCloud Drive - Sync this iPhone, check if this option is enabled
iCloud Not Authorized for PeakWatch:
- Go to iOS Settings - [Your Name] - iCloud, and enable authorization for PeakWatch, ensuring that the sync toggle is switched on.
- Check if multiple Apple IDs are being used on the device, and confirm that the syncing service is linked to the correct Apple ID.
Network Connection Issues:
- Verify that your device is connected to the internet. Try accessing a webpage to confirm if the network is functioning correctly.
- If syncing over mobile data, ensure that data syncing services are enabled in the settings.
Insufficient iCloud Storage:
- Check your iCloud storage usage. You can view this in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud.
- If storage is full, consider deleting unnecessary backup files or purchasing more storage space.
Outdated System Version:
- Ensure that your device is running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS. Older system versions may not support certain iCloud features.
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for available updates.
Re-login to iCloud Account:
- Try logging out and back into your iCloud account. You can log out by going to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign Out, and then sign back in after logging out.
- When logging out, choose to keep data on your device to avoid data loss.
Incorrect Device Time Settings:
- Ensure that your device’s date and time settings are accurate, as incorrect time settings can interfere with iCloud syncing.
- Adjust these in Settings > General > Date & Time, and it's best to choose "Set Automatically."
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, we recommend contacting Apple Support for further technical assistance.
